    saltwater setup.

Hey there. Im also.from Ontario. Ill agree with looking on the web.for.used stuff except for.the tank. Ive been doing salt w for.a.few years and wish.i.had followed more of the advice than i did. You will see alot of suggestions to get the biggest tank you can afford ( money and space wise). Totally agree. Unless you are going for a stricly coral nano setup ( maybe 1 or 2 small fish) i would.look for the biggest tank. The reason i said dont buy a used tank is beacause of what im going through right now. I picked up .a..used 90 it was in great shape but a year later and the silicone is peeling or.flaking away. I just ordered a new 90 and.surprisingly its probably going to be one of.the cheapest pieces in my setup. However knowing what i do now i would have resealed that used 90 in the first place. My other piece of advice is to start withjust fish only and then some live.rock. this will dramatically reduce initial cost as you wont need a skimmer or specjal lights to begin with. The reason i sy this is from my experience. I jumped right in ( nothing wrong with that just be prepared to spend some cash) with fish rock and coral and it was a little overwhelming. Finally take your time. There is sooo much out there and so mucb to learn you wont get bored. Btw.all i know about platys are they breed like flippin rabbits.
