It's funny how reefers are. I just read a thread where the poster got flamed for using damsels to cycle a tank...then we go and say kill the anemone with vengeance. I don't disagree with either...just funny to me.

On topic, you can also use Aptasia-X.

 

Use Joe juice or Aptasia-X and squirt it right into the mouth (center). Be sure to turn off all water current (power heads, current makers, return pumps) before applying the juice and leave them off for 20 or so minutes so the juice does not float around the tank. After 20-30 min. turn everything back on. dont syphon the juice out from the Aptasia either let it sit there.

Some people said to take the rock out and scrub it off. I dont think you need to do this as it is pretty extreme and you will kill what little beneficial bacteria you have on that rock.

The best way to fight these pests is to use RODI water for water changes and water top offs and a skimmer, the idea is to insure that you are not adding any phosphates or metals from tap water into the tank and that fish waste is being filter out, all of which Aptasia LOVE! So eliminate their food and you'll kill them off in a few weeks.

Take rock out, get chisel and hammer, chisel small piece off, nuke it. No lost bacteria, no cost for juice.
