Hi everyone. Just joined last night. Looks like a great site. 8)

I've been in the hobby (freshwater) for many years - and took the plunge into marine about 15 years ago. It went well, but only lasted about two years (gave up on it when I had my second child).

Well...15 years later, my kids are well into their teenage years, and it's time to get goin' again. I see there have been a lot of changes since the 'olden' days. :p

I'll be setting up a 40G FOWLR until I get my feet "wet" again...but have purchased equipment that will hopefully get me started with a reef set-up at some point in the not too distant future..provided everything goes well!

Looking forward to learning lots from you! ::)

Well! Welcome to 3 Reef! Time for Mommy Club! I think we should start one! LOL! My daughter is 7, but I still take one night a month to go check out my local reef club, and plenty of time to check in here!

Good to have you here! ;D

Thanks for the warm welcome, Matt. :sunny: No, it's not a 40 breeder. (That would have been my first choice, however). I'll be running an Ecosystem40/refugium, with lighting in the form of a 36" PC 96W x2 fixture for starters. See how that does. I'm in no hurry. Patience is something I've got tons of right now. (We'll see how long THAT lasts). :p

Yes, we are quasi neighbors! I think NPARS is the closest club to you I can find

    http://www.ncpars.org/index.php

but I don't think it is all that close to you. :-/

Lots of good folks here, and hardly ever any flame wars! Very civil! ;) ;D
