make sure you do your home work and the fish that you put into the tank and the corals.
so i can start helping you get things together what do you have so far and what can you spend for what you don't have.

and another tip don't gimp your self on your lights and filter.

    Hope this helps Joe

alright i'm going to look at a 26 gal bowfront tomorrow the guy is also going to sell me live rock at 2.50 lb. i figue im going to buy 20-25lbs of it and he is going to give me some live sand for free. i will have to build a stand for it but ill deal with that later. i'm thinking of getting a hang on skimmer and either t-5 or led i'm wanting to stay around 100-150 on lights

hmmm my only tip is when you go over his house, make sure you think the tank is in good condition , if not you might have to recycle the live rock.

and for the amount of light that you have set aside, i will start looking, going to start with t5, b/c leds are two much money right now.

Would you be ok of hanging a light from your ceiling to your tank?>?

i just don't know if it will fit the tank, b/c the tank should be 30inches in length

make sure you find out when you go over the mans house.

alright so todays purchase so far was a 26 bow front,13lbs live rock,19lbs dry rock,3 gallons of salt, and a coralife sub compact all for the grand total of 100$. I figure i'll use this sub compact to cycle my tank while i decide on my lights. i might buy a 40 gal tank tonite and hold onto it just in case i want to go bigger and since it 36" long a light purchase would be easier. So how do you think I did ?
