I have a 1 week old 20 gallons tank (sand + water). I'd like to keep 2 clowns, 1 cleaner shrimp and 2 soft corals (one will be an anemone).

I recently purchased a Red Sea Prizm Skimmer but I will have to return it because it doesn't work properly and it makes way too much noise.

Here's what I am looking for:
    - decent protein skimmer (not top of the line but not the worst)
    - type: hang-on
    - not too hard to install (I'm a beginner)
    - not to noisy
    - price range: about $150
    - optional: I live in Canada so I would prefer (but not necessarily) a Canadian retailer

I would really appreciate any recommendations.

I had a Seaclone 100 Protein Skimmer on my 30 gallon and it worked great...about $75.00
They all need a little "tweeking" when you first set them up....so, you might give the one you got a little time? JMO ...but the noise can be a drag for sure....I have put a sand stone on the intake line to baffle the sucking sound also.

My suggestions would be CPR Bakpak or octopus bh-100. Both are pretty good skimmers and should be easy to find in Canada, the CPR has been around for a long time and is normally easy to find used as well for around 50 to 80 buxes.
