It all depends where you got it from. Do you know if it was Tonga, Kaelinini, Haiitian, Marshall, Fiji, Florida, etc.? Some LR is very porous and some is not.

No problem. One time I got 1000 lbs of UNCURED live rock in. The next day a snowstorm shut down the power overnight. Well, someone had to make sure the pumps came back on, there were no floods, feed the fish, etc. I knew there were not going to be any customers that day but I still made it to the shop. I can't even describe the smell to you of that much UNCURED live rock that had no water circulation for that many hours.

Here's the funny thing though. NO ONE was driving around St. Louis but old men and women. The old women who had hairdo appointments at the shop next door kept them and their old husbands helped them walk through the UNPLOWED parking lot.

This experience taught me 2 things. Don't be in the supply side of the reefkeeping hobby. If you're smart, you want to be a hairdresser for old women. NOTHING stops them.

The supply side of the hobby isnt bad....unless you count all the people coming in and asking where the nemos and dorys are.....
