I did use tap water (LFS said it was fine). The guy down there mentioned that I need to bring him a sample of my water twice a week while it is cycling so he can monitor how it is progressing. He also stated that he wouldn't sell me ANY livestock until the numbers had proven the tank for done cycling! I took him a sample yesterday and everything was looking good except for ammonia, he said to bring him another sample this Wednesday to see how thing pan out!

I haven't been on the site for awhile now so I thought I would give a little update. The tank has progressed past the cycling process and I have slowly started to add livestock. Currently I had 2 chromis, 1 yellow tank and a clean up crew that consists of 1 turbo snail, 2 blue legged crabs, brittle star, and sea urchin. After the first two chromis were added I got a hawkfish. Everything was going great until I then added two clowns. Well the clowns died very unexpectedly so I replaced with a red lip blenny. Right when the blenny hit the water we acted like my clowns did staying at the top corner of the tank. I watch for a little while and noticed my hawkfish the stalking it. Therefore I put the conclusion together that the hawkfish was causing me all the trouble. I returned the hawkfish to the store yesterday for $15 credit that I put towards my yellow tang. Everything seems a little more peaceful now. I'll get some pics up when I get a chance (maybe this weekend).
