newbie

hello everyone,
new to the salt water world, and loving it! just started a 210gal reef set up. using the mud/eco method. have a 40gal refugium, and protien skimmer.
don't have many fish, only 3 chromies, but have some crabs, cleaner shrimp, 1 horseshoe crab, and about 50lbs of live rock. also have live sand, and a waving hand.
tanks been set up about 2mos.everything seems to be doing great!i'm really looking forward to learning about all the things that will help make me successful, in the hobby.
i was wondering, in the future i'd love to add a box/cowfish, to my reef. i know they can release a toxin, when stressed, that will kill everything in tank. would you advise staying away from these species? i'd love your input.
tomorrow, i'm going to add a yellow tang. i will post pictures, soon.

can someone tell me how to insert a photo?
forgot to add that i've got 1 250w metal halide(2 more on the way), and 2 moonlights

 

figured out how to post photos, except my photo size is too large. can anyone tell me how to resize to fit? not really computer literate

if you open it in paint you go to image then stretch/skew then a box will come up... change to 100% to a smaller number on both of them...make them the same number i.e. 50% will shrink the image to 50% of the original size...save it and then right click the file and hit properties (where it is saved) and it will tell you the file size... i think it has to be below 90000k to put on the site or 97000k... something like that...i would save it as a diff file though because if you have to make it larger it will blur...shrinking wont hurt it though.. good luck

just got back from the store. picked up 2 pj cardinals, and 1 orbiculate cardinal. also got a tiger sand conch. i heard the cardinals do better when they are schooled together. any truth to this?

 

pairs may tend to pick on other fish but if you have more than 2 of the species that would be fine IMO. see what others say
