hello, I am a newbie when it comes to fish. I have had Betas but thats it. I am starting my very first 10 gal salt water tank and reading everything I can on it. I am starting a small tank because I want to start out small and work my way up. ;D

Anyway I'm sure this site will help alot. Looking forward to reading everyones input and own experiences!

I'll be the first to tell you that bigger is better in this hobby but i wont be the only one to tell you. The reason is its harder for paramiters to fluctuate in larger system. Welcome to 3REEF!!!

Yup gonna say the same thing, in saltwater the smaller the tank the harder it is going to be. I started with a 29g tall, and it was a pain. Now I have a 55 and it is much better. I wouldn't recommend a 10gal for and advanced person let alone a beginner. Go with a bigger tank, you'll be much happier in the long run.
