Cleaner shrimp are generally fairly cheap, in the $15 to $25 range.

Whether it's worth it depends on what you expect. If you expect it to do any significant cleanup of detritus, it won't do that. It'll eat some parasites off of your fish. It'll be generally a cool thing to have, and they're lots of fun when they're out.

I'm fairly sure the cleaners tend to be among the hardiest, along with coral banded shrimp.

I've got 2 cleaner shrimp. I've had them for 8 months to a year maybe. Haven't seen them in a while :( Aside from that they have been very easy to care for.

A bristleworm will do some good scavenging. :)

so ive convinced my uncle that the predator tank was too hard to keep
and now he has decided to make it a friendly thank god!
i also think that he never cycled it properly/ or for long enough
ive seen on some threads that tanks cycling get all algae and stuff when they cycle for 2 months or so
he cycled it for 3 weeks tops? so i think that the live rock didnt grow enough bacteria to handle the fish? hence every fish dying (fox face is still alive though!!)
is there anything we could do to help this?
    cheers
ps; will be doing a water change tomorrow

Yeah, wait. Time is your friend as there is no short cut to tank cycling.
