    hello all,
i am new to this whole thing..my name is gerrylynn, i live in ft.lauderdale florida..and i am just getting started in the aquarium reef..i have always had salt water fish and inverts but i would like to try the corals now...if there is anyone that lives in my area or in miami florida or nearby areas that would like to swap any type of coral frags, specifically zooanthids or colorful mushrooms because i heard they are the easiest to start with...i have a vast amount of all types of invertebrates:turbo snails, crabs, shrimp, starfish and lots of anemones to exchange for some coral frags..if interested please email me at tropicalfishnow@yahoo.com..hope to here from someone soon...
    gerrylynn:)

some fish stores will give or sell you coraline scrapings off their LR, you can just put them in and they'll release spores in your tank to help accelerate it a bit, even though if you just wait it'll eventually show up on it's own

Do a search on the algae board for 'coraline.' There are many threads there on it.

From my experience if you raise the magnesium to 1400 you will get it.
    Here is one thread:

Welcome aboard my fellow Floridian, would love to swap some zoas, but at this time, someone is terrorizing my zoas and toadstool so they dont look all that great.
