on his pectoral fins. They did look clear and free of any stuff at the LFS. I'm hoping it's not the beginnings of ich :/ ???

Sounds like it. Keep your water clean and try some garlic to help boost his immune system.

well Froc you were right :/ I'm hoping it's just from the initial stress of entry into the DT. Plan to continue feeding w/garlic. The other fish and tank are healthy enough I hope that no one else 'catches it' and he gets better all on his own. I don't want to remove him yet as I believe it'll stress him more and make it worse.

What size tank, and how long has it been up? I made the mistake of trying a powder blue a while ago, he lasted 2 days and nuked my tank with ich. I would add some selcon to the diet and feed heavy untill the ich passes if your not going to treat it.

Well, best of luck with him. Are you planning to upgrade to at least a 180 within a couple years?

Good luck, I just had a powder blue that seemed clear end up wiping out over half of my fish.... Including my beloved blue-spotted jawfish. I'm done with powder blues. Stick with mysis soaked in garlic to help other fish or take your powder blue out and quarantine home for a while until all clear.

    Good luck!!

Even tho they only get 9", like 90% of the long term (over a couple years) success stories I have read about were in very large and very established and stable systems. I might try one again, but not until I set up a 240 or larger.
