Ok so after a bunch of research and a failed atempt at seting up a 150 I have decided to set up a 12 gallon nano cube in my room. The plan for this tank is a mantis shrimp a zoa garder this tank. For lighting I will be using 12 3watt leds from rapidleds.com. For filtration on the tank i am mostly going to use lr, some filter cloth, carbon, mangrooves, and some cheato i dont think i am going to using a skimmer because i cant find any good skimmer the will fit on this tank and on this small of a tank i dont think its worth it.

Ok so without any further adue pics ;D

The pvc is to create a den for the mantis hope fuly he will use it:p

I used silicon to attack the pvc to the back of the tank this will hold it in place and also stod debree from setling back there

I used 1 inch pvc I use 2 45 degrees and a T elbows i think it came out to like 4 bucks at home depot

I also put some egg crate on the bottom to stop the mantis fron digging to deep and it also helps with stacking the lr

I got 20 pounds of black sand I dont think i will use all of it but thats the smallest size that the lfs had. I went with the black sand because I figure it would create a realy nice contrast between the floresents on the zoas and the black from the sand.

So what do u guys and gals think?;D

Sounds like it will look great. I like the idea of black sand with the zoas
