also, a small tank such as a 10gall is very hard to maintain because the parameters change so easily. If you have the space/money try to get as large of a tank as you can afford that way it would be easier to maintain. Plus you will be able to have more fish as in a 10, not many options out there. Good luck though. I'm working on my first sw tank, and it's a ver fun/expensive hobby :D

(assuming that this is some sort of a sick joke on us 3reefers):cheesy:

If you need something right away you can try Petsmart or Petco and ask for T5 HO lighting for a saltwater tank.

Or you can try Marinedepot.com or Reefgeek.com for better deals

Welcome, And one can only hope its a joke.
Tester Kits for Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate, Calcium, PH, Alkalinity are a must in my opinion.
    Getting the correct lighting/filtration/heating
Letting the tank cycle would be the next step...
While its cycling read up on the fish/inverts you want. and what they need to survive,

Then adding fish after everything matches :p

also, figure out if you want a FOWLR (fish only with live rock) or reef. With FOWLR you won't need the expensive lighting that the reefs need.

Oh, Youll also need a Salinity Tester, to make sure your salt/water balance is correct, inverts need a special range to survive! (anemones are an invert)

Ok, then if this is not a joke, you need to follow our advice very closely, everyone's advice that has posted here.

    1) Find someone or some store to take your livestock
    2) Get some lights, filter, heater, thermometer, and test kits
    3) Get some live rock and let your tank cycle
    4) While cycling, read through this site, read books, and gather as much info as you can
    5) Patience, patience, patience. This hobby takes time.
    6) Ask questions on here.

Ok then post a picture of your
10 gallon tank with 2 anemones, a tang, live sand, no rock, no heating, no filtration or pumps and a flash light for lighting

i'm sorry but i'd have to see this to belive it. I'm not trying to make you mad, so dont get angry if it really is the truth.

I'm only trying to help, but its really hard for me to picture this tank making it for more than 48 hours with no circulation.
