ha, thats funny. i was just looking at there website trying to find some sort of tank prices (want a 90 gallon). didnt find any but they are supposedly having a sale on AGA. so long as the the weather holds up i might head up there on friday. the lack of aiptaisa in the tank seems promising

Did you make it to super petz in annandale? they are due for a fish delivery either today or sunday, i'm looking for a pair of black perc clowns and the kid thought they might get them in this week. Same kid is the one that told me the pepermint shrimps ate all the aptasias :)

yeah, thats were i went (thanks) i dont remember any black clowns, but i didnt spend much time along that back wall. there were 3 guys back there the whole time so it was kinda crowded. you were defiantly right about those holding tanks all over run with aiptaisa, except the one with the peppermint shrimp. the guy said he had been feeding them aiptaisa.

ok it has been a few days (10ish) and i have seen a decline in the aiptasia. still some there but alot of the REALLY small clusters dont see to be there anymore.

plus 3 of the 4 shrimp seem to have made the one rock with the aiptasia their home

Great news! I hope it continues to go well for you. I have never had any luck with peppermint shrimp. As much as I don't like to go down the chemical route, the only thing I found that works is Aiptasia X.

update. after the move to the 90 gallon the pepermint shrimp seem to have "forgot" where the aiptasia are. either that or they were never really doing anything anyways.

i had hoped to just take that rock out when i moved into the new tank. but a monti frag had grown itself onto the rock.

i just did a treatment with aiptasia x.....ill wait and see what happens

next step i think may be a file fish.

They are scavengers don't feed your tank for a few days and watch how fast your apitasia problem disapears
