Next Fish Poll... Tangs

I say a hippo, and a yellow tang. And maybe a kole tang with them to make a trio.....


In my tank i have a vampire, salifin and yellow tang.

 

BTW i would add all the tangs at once after QT for a week.

I havent had the best of luck with Hippo tangs, and dont like that they hang upside down in the rock work. Makes me think there sick lol

 

Id skip the sohal had one for couple weeks was fairly aggressive but lost his mind when I added my chevron. The second it hit the water the sohal tried to kill it. Its fins were ripped down to barley anything in minutes. Plus my 150 was to small for the sohal. I vote for achillies, they love to swim so might outgrow it eventually as well, but should be happy for a couple years.

 

Purple tang or a kole tang. I always loved those fish in my tanks

 

I made up my mind! Purple, Yellow and a Hippo

 

better get babies and add them at once so they don't kill each other.

 

That is what I currently have... had the yellow and hippo first.. Then tried to add the purple.. Didn't work.. Had to take out the yellow for about 3 weeks.. During that time the hippo started to give the purple a hard time.. Not even close to as bad as the yellow.. Anyway.. I re did the rock work and than re-added the yellow.. They both still give the purple some trouble but not even close to how they were.. Long story short, just add them all at once and close to the same size... lol.. nice selection BTW

 

Goodluck, Purples are instigators but well worth the trouble!

 

I have 6 tangs in my tank that play nice but I would not introduce a clown and a sohal. that is asking for someone to beat the other one up. one or the other but the sohal grows so big so fast. I would want at least a 180 for one of them.
