    Hi Guys,

I was hoping that I could get some recommendations for my next fish. I am looking to get something that is a sand sifter. I really liked the attitude of the lawnmower blenny my lfs had but don't have or want the algae present to sustain it. Is there another goby or blenny that is easy to take care of, sifts sand, and has a little attitude? Thanks in advance!!!

    Regards,
    Ivy

Any basic goby would be good for that... I personaly like the watchman my self... yellow, orange spotted, pink spotted.

Thanks for the quick recommendations. Are these prone to jumping out? I have egg crate on top of my tank but was wondering if I need more if they are jumpers. Thanks!!!

They spend most of their time on the substrate burrowing holes. Check out all the gobies. Theres one Goby that has a symbiotic relationship with a shrimp and shares the burrow with him. I forget the name it, but I think theres someone here that has one.

Actually a few gobies can pair up with a pistol shrimp.. if you search places like bluezoo etc.. they sell them already paired up.

I just looked at their site and the yellow watchman and pistol shrimp pair is very enticing. I am just a little worried about the pistil taking out my two cleaner shrimp :)

If the pistol is introduced last and your cleaners are larger.. shouldnt be a big issue.
Not saying it couldnt be though... pistols like peppermints aweful well apparently

Definitely yellow watchman. I'm picking one up in a couple of days actually :D My gift to myself for quitting smoking....
(Every month I take the money I save from not smoking and do something nice for myself.....been putting it away for livestock and tank supplies as well as saving for vacation, LOL)

Congrats on quitting. I know that it is not an easy habit to kick. I have been trying to get my parents to quit for years!!!!

Please post pics and thoughts when you get one.
