I currently have a 90g with a clown and a hippo tang. I KNOW, i am planning to relocate hippo in due time. With that out of the way, I am asking for recommendations on new REEF SAFE fish to add. I just ordered my cleaning crew from reefcleaners yesterday, so they need to be invert safe as well. Thanks!!!

I think you are just fortunate that you got one that only eats acans. The vast majority of angels are not reef safe as they do eat other corals, especially LPS.

It completely depends on the angel. Most pygmy angels are reef safe, though it depends on the individual and some may nip at SPS. I've had quite a few centropygae (Flame, Rusty, Potters) that caused me no problems at all, though I kept them well fed and would not risk one in an SPS dominated tank.

A Regal angel is perfectly suited for an SPS tank, though I've seen them pick on LPS.

I've never had a problem with the Genicanthus family of angels (Bellus, Japanese Swallowtail, Lamarck) and have a pair of Japanese Swallowtail Angels in my SPS tank. I'm a big fan of these and this would be my first recommendation.

Other reef safe fish I'd recommend:

    - Any of a number of reef safe wrasses - just make sure you have a cover to prevent jumping
    - Bangai cardinals - love these guys! - get a pair
    - Royal Gramma - they hide a lot, but are cool - not a fish to get if you want something that swims around a lot
    - I like blennies
    - Blue Dot Jawfish - though they like to rearrange things and are jumpers so you need cover - a lot of personality - not good with any corals that sit in the sand as they will tend to cover things up
    - Spendid Dottyback (or any of a number of dottybacks) - they hide more than I'd like, but look cool

I agree I think I did get lucky but i have heard a lot of people say they find out what their angeks eat and just don't get those kinds of corals
