I wouldn't take those chances, especially sense the Leopard Wrasse will out compete the Mandarin for food.

yeah, the leopard is def a down the road, life is set up for it fish, that I really want though, so we will see, really want an anthias trio, but the flashers kinda have my heart;)

I'd take your YT devil spawn, but he'd turn on me. You have YTD whispering abilities. And I cant risk a purple tang. Love them, but not gonna take the plunge.

Leaning towards a wrasse and a tomini, but the anthias trio is kinda screaming to me

I got a blue star leopard wrasse. Goes for pods quite a bit but also eats mysis, cyclopeeze, pellets whatever you give it, I don't think you'd have a problem with pods, my population is still so massive when I turn the lights out I can see the rock just buzzing with pods.
Or do you have no refugium for a pod population?

I doubt DD would sell a trio of them. They usually sell singles at $299. They're sub-tropical too, so I wouldn't keep them if your system sees >80F.

I'd avoid leopards and Halichoeres w/ the mandarin; either will be out-competing the madarin for food.

So this leaves fairys and flashers. :)

yeah, figured ingtar would recommend something like that;) $950 for 3 fish is a little out of my range, They did have this lil nugget on there though for only $130, too bad i'm leaving for vaca tonite. I think I HAVE to have a wrasse in there

A wrasse is a have to,but I agree with evolved,my leopard stripped my over populated tank full of pods the first week I had her.Thank goodness she eats anything I feed the tank, but i'm pretty sure she would much prefer pods if given the option. She is still an avid hunter and that would concern me for the mandarin.

I'd go for that anthias trio that Alex suggested
