The Pellet movement is pretty strong. Here is a quick vid I took today.

Yeah it does. That should be good flow to keep excess bacteria sloughing off the pellets.

I have the same reactor but in the xl version. Also from the pix it looks like they are tumbling to much. Hopefully when you add the rest out will slow the tumble down. You don't want them to break down to fast. Just keep an eye on them. Also when I added the required amount I placed a mark on the reactor to show when its time to add more in the future.

Thank you. I plan on using my other MR1 as a biopellet reactor, but wasn't sure if the flow from the tubing diameter would be enough.

Thats a good idea on marking the reactor. I should kill the power to it and mark it. I've heard when they buildup with bacteria they slow down significantly when tumbling. I can slow the flow down but I think I will give it another week or so.

No problem, glad the thread helped you out.

No problem. I'm pretty stoked to see how the algae is affected in my tank, here in couple weeks. I will definitely be doing weekly updates on this thread.

Do you have a link to the 'Y' that you purchased on marinedepot?

    EDIT: Found it.
