Fun fact: The last lockout cost Bill Guerin about $9 million dollars. Can't say I'd be on board with my union if I was a player.

The Lockout hurts up here in Northern Canada.

On the one hand I'm excited, I expect big things coming out of it.

I'm a die hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan ... I mean I bleed blue and white, and this caps off the "lockout to lockout without making the playoffs blues" we had going on.

Time to regain our form, shake off the 8 years without a postseason bookended by lockouts and win a damn CUP already lol

    GO LEAFS GO !!!!

Oh god not a whining Toronto fan thinking their chances of making the cup this year is ruined because of a lockout.. LOL They haven't got a leg to stand on and won't for some time. ::) They make better golfers than anything anyways. LOL.

I'm a hockey fan that happens to be a Leafs man. Meaning, I don't blindly support them and celebrate every regular season win as if they just won the Stanley Cup.

I try to go to 5 or 6 games a year, so I'll definitely miss that.

However, of the 6 games I went to last year, they ended up losing every one.... so maybe I won't miss it so much after all. LOL

Actually, the first game I went to was a Leafs-Bruins game in the fall. At the time, the Leafs were in first place, and Kessel was the top scorer in the leaugue. As part of the pre-game light/music show, there was a video gloating about how the Leafs were in first place and how Kessel was the league's #1 points guy. At the time I though, "wow, way to tempt fate."

Sure enough, they lost 8-1 that game, and it kicked off a long futility streak. The worst part is that I took my brother for his birthday and he's a huge Bruins fan, so I couldn't even leave early.

Is there any chance of getting the substitute NFL refs to play NHL hockey instead?
