    I've had a Biube and the stock pump supplied with it is so noisy, almost everyone in UK with one upgrades straight away. Not sure what you got over there but I upgraded to a Eheim 3701 quiet as a mouse.

    Thanks for the info. I checked out some reviews of the pump and they all say they are noisy. At least I know it's not my hearing. I don't know if it's worth replacing the pump or just returning the whole kit and starting over.

    looked it up and it sounds good. Don't know yet what the equivalent would be here. Do you have a supplier you recommend?
