niger trigger lost color

    Hello i am new to the salt game..
    but i have a picasso and a niger trigger along with some clowns in my tank.. i went to feed them tonight.. everyone is fine out eating then the niger comes out.. and most of his black color.. has turned almost a pale purple.. does anyone know of this problem...?:cry:

    Chances are it's a natural color change brought about by feeding time. When I had a niger, this frequently happened. He always changed back. Hope yours does too.

    yea i looked this morning he is back to his color now... freaky.. but.. i feel better thanx..
    im starting to take a liking to him and my picasso.

    welcome Tizzy! FYI many fish will change colors be it due to stress, excitement, illness, and many other variables. usually when you put in a new tank-mate it is very likely they will change colors, mostly due to the stress of a new habitat. and if you ever get further down the road with corals, they will often shift colors under different lighting.

    thx for the welcomes and info...
    i guess i like the more aggressive fish.. haha but my tank is a swim tank... im just glad my trigger is ok...
    does anyone know if dog faced puffers n triggers can get along ?
