You gotta look at it from the wifes perspective, He could buy it small and when it gets big he has to say, Honey its awfully cruel of me to keep such a majestic creature in such a small tank, I need to get him something bigger so that he can really be happy and flourish 8)LOL

Had one for 8 months in my mixed reef didn't touch crabs, corals or snails. Wouldn't recommend if you have shrimp though they will gobble them up. Hope this helps.

Silly me I tend to look at it from the fishes perspective. Honey please don't put me in that tiny tank were I will probably die.;) There are plenty of beautiful fish suitable to your size aquarium. If you really love a particular fish that isn't suitable then show the love and leave it alone. Good aquarium husbandry and a responsible reefer.;)

Did y'all just refer to yourself in the first person singular as a mammal?

I meant to buy one that is about 2 inches or MAYBE 3 inches TOPS and then when it grows just the slightest little bit say "Honey this fish that you have grown attached to has gotten WAY to big for this tank and I think I need a 300 gallon" LOL

I am NOT a person to stick a fish in to small of a tank, Infact I CANT STAND when I see people put medium size tangs in small nano tanks like my RSM 130 or something of similar size

Have you ever tried to catch a very active fish in a small tank full of rocks, corals, and other fish? ;)

Yup, Ive been doing this about 16 years, between having and maintaining my own tanks and working in retail selling aquariums and servicing peoples tanks I have PLENTY of experience catching fish in a stocked tank, The one good thing I have found with catching trigger fish is they tend not to fly around the tank when you try an catch them and instead alot of the time they wedge themselves in a rock and stick up there top and bottom bony fins so they make themselves easier to catch

Besides I was only suggesting something and he didnt have to take it as gospel...Not to mention it was an easy way for him to convince the wife he "needs" a larger tank LOL
