Picked up my custom 125 yesterday. Black silicone and center overflow, was gonna use it for my tropheus tank but decided on a fowlr. Im gonna try and run a a wet/dry and a sump/fuge. The wet/dry will gravity feed the sump/fuge. Ill be using a mag 9 for a return. A reef octopus NWB 150 needle wheel skimmer will handle the skimming. I havent decided on power heads yet but I think 2 1400 gph koralias on either end of the tank should suffice. Along with the wet/dry im going to add 50-75 pounds of live rock.

Im not sure which light I'd like to run. While I know for now its only a fowlr, but whats th point in getting awesome looking fish if your gonna put them under weak lighting. I was debating on MH, but unsure bc of the heat. If I do go with MH, I'll more than likely hanging it from the ceiling. Idk if i want to pay the cost of a 72" light either. LEDs would be cool, but the price isn't lol. Im lost...

Thinking about getting 2 36"-48" marineland reef led fixtures. Unless I stumble upon something better.

Progress, depleted my RO/DI so im done for today. Also picked up about 100lbs of aragonite seafloor special from a buddy for $50. I think I got almost 40g in there, and I put a koralia 750 for a lil movement. Its funny, I dont even have my sump set up or even pipes in my overflow, but im fillin'er up lol.

Don't want to be a debby downer...but you might want to make sure you can insert your sump through the doors on the stand before you fill it with water. I know on my stand, and the ones i was looking at for 125 gallons, the pre-made sumps and even a 20g long tank wouldn't even fit through the doors and needed to be dropped in from the top where the tank is.
