    Ah yea, didn't think about that. Well I tested my tanks water.

    Ph- 8.4
    Ammonia- 0ppm
    Nitrite- 0ppm
    Nitrate- 0ppm

    Didn't think id find much of anything.

    Woohoo power loss test worked. Now I'm a lil more confident that my floors will stay dry...

    It is coming along nicely so far. I like the idea of pinning the shrimp under a mag clip. I would reccomend doing multiple power loss test to make sure you will get the same results (if you havent already). were you able to use all of the rock or did you have some left over?

    I had one piece probably 5-7lbs, I gave it to my step father for his 55g.

    Oh found another pic I forgot to post! Its the plumbing on the back side of the tank. I outlined where I thought my box would be, but that didn't pan out. My dog snuck in this one lol.

    What should I let my ammonia level reach before I pull the shrimp out? I checked it last on Saturday (the 30th) and it was at .5ppm.

    I cycled a 12 gallon not too long ago and just left the shrimp in there. It became pod food and hermit snacks after I put them in. Leaving it in is the best bet in my opinion, it keeps the bacteria populations high until you add in your livestock, meaning less chance of a second cycle once you do add fish.

    Well when I got home today I decided to take the shrimp out of the panty hose it was in, it was just peices. So tomorrow when I have time I'm going to test my water and see what m params are...
