Nightster's shallow 50g build

It just keeps the pipe from shaking excessively and braces the corner I assume.

 

I think its there to cut down on bubbles in the sump and to block some of the water "crashing" sound. I'm gonna change it to use a filter sock.

 

Placed an order this morning with drsfostersmith.com for a cpr filter sock holder, 2 filter socks, acrylic mag float, and some carbon. Might be a bit silly but I'm excited lol.

 

That video is great @ only 40% I'm sure you could spill a ton of H2O if you wanted.

 

Well if I put it on the long pulse mode at 100% it might. Short pulse mode doesn't seem to get the propeller wound up high enough to really push the water hard. I'm just worried that once I get sand in there even what its set at now will be too much.

 

Great dimensions. Wish I could find a tank this size. Going to be nice.

 

Well its happening tonight. Had to ask the gf to go get me some more sand though. Taking more than I expected.

 

Got it set up, few more pieces of live rock to set up. Can't really see anything so I stopped for the night.

 

I can tell this is gonna be a saweeet build already! Keep it up!!
