Moving right along, sweet skimmer. All the crud will probably clear up soon.

Cubes are the perfect tanks for clams and Mangroves. You could definitely pull off mangroves with the lighting and the way the light is hung. I am so jealous.

My cuc was supposed to be here yesterday, hopefully it'll show up today. I may have to grow my mangroves out in my sump for a bit before I transfer them to my DT.

Made the mistake of going to see my friend who owns a lfs, well at least I think he's my friend lol. Saw a ywg and pistol shrimp so I bought them. Ywg is a bit white, most of the stuff online about white/grey ywg says it means female. Who knows, I like it BC it looked different. Here is a picture of them acclimating. Hopefully their lair is up front or at least visible. [IMG]

YWG sometime pale during acclimation. You probably noticed mine is grey as well, and yes I have heard that indicates the fish may be of female gender.

Perfect mix though YWG and tiger pistol, congrats.

Oh and congrats on having a friend that owns the LFS and my condolences at the same time. I would have to seriously budget myself with friends like that.

    Thanks!

I had noticed yours was not yellow, didn't know if it was the pics, light, or my phone. Then today I saw the grey one and liked it better than the yellow so I got it. I tried to "place" the pistol towards the front and their first lair is under the 2 forward most rocks but I'm sure they will move. I initially wanted a yasha white ray, but heard they are harder to care for and more expensive. So after seeing the grey one it was an obvious choice. Trust me, I consider him a friend and he does hook me up but i try to limit it to once a month visits. Lol

I have a friend that owns an LFS and I just ended up going to work there for a long time. I couldn't stay out of there. BTW, congrats on the skimmer. I love my octopus skimmer.

Thanks. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to build a stand for my skimmer.

Cuc came in! Hopefully everything survived. I think I have enough of the mangrove submerged.
