Nipples

    Can someone explain to me about the nipple placement on MH bulbs? I heard if you point them certain ways it will change the color...but I am not sure how its done

    Some say the nipple should be pointed up, or close to it, as to not allow the gasses to pool in the nipple. I haven't heard of the color change from it though, I've never experienced it yet.

    I dont even see the nipple... What part is it?

    The nipple in a SE (Singe End) bulb is inside the outer glass. You'll see a pointed end in the middle of the filament enclosure.

    The nipple on a DE bulb is right in the middle. It's pretty obvious with this one, SE's a a bit harder to see.
