    I am looking to buy a flame angel. From what I've read, they mention the following, "Flame Angel fish need a tank with moderate to high water circulation, better than average water quality (very low or zero nitrates) and plenty of live rock. " I thought you needed nitrates. Do they mean nitrites????

    Some animals (clams in particular) can metabolize Nitrates. However, ideal parameters would be zero Nitrates.
