    Sounds like you're doing all the right things. That chaeto should blow up and take in alot of those desired nutrients pretty quickly. The skimmer will help to remove organics before they become nutrients. The 2 reactors will help with the removal of phosphates, as will the mangroves you just ordered.

    I do a 20-25% water change on my tank about once a month, but I think I will begin doing weekly changes at 10%. Daily 10% changes sounds fine to me, maybe someone with more experience with larger systems can provide you more information on how large and how often you should be doing your changes to get your tank stable again.

    good..cheato..20% water change every 4 to 6 weeks, I think that dead fish caused you all this ...jmo...get things squared away...reverse light sched on the fuge..regular water changes are your friend..complacency is inevitable. : )

    Just wanted to thank everyone for the input ! glad to see people with experience give out advice that actually works. I'm rolling along at under 20 ppm Nitrates now and just finally picked up a powder blue that's super happy !!!
    Also bought two torch frags, a huge elegance and an australian duncan. Waiting on the sun coral delivery . Three weeks it's been cancelled in a row . . . . . .
    End of the day happy tank, Super happy me

    Sounds like some nice acquisitions, congrats.

    I am glad interventions helped to lower the nitrates.
