    Hey Reefers,

Was wondering whats better in a nitrate reactor sulphur beads or bio balls.
    Pros and cons of both?

Never used a nitrate reactor before( never needed it ) but before you go that route, is there any way you can incorporate a Refugium? I personally wouldnt use BB, unless its in a coil denitrator. Sulphur is usually used in the reactors and for some reason that I cant remember now, I stayed away from it when I was trying to get my No3 from 20ppm to 0ppm. You should research sulphur before buying anything, it has the potential to create havoc. Whats your issue? maybe we can help you work out the problem.

I would look into vodka dosing as well or some of the new "solid vodka" biopellets as well. I've heard of a lot of people who have trouble getting denitrators to function properly, maybe it's user error but I think there are other potentially good options as well.
