Nitrate?

    I did a water test and (I am fairly new to the hobby :p) my nitrate is 40ppm. Is this normal or bad? Also, could someone recommend a general, fairly cheap, water testing kit? Thanks so much guys!

    Petco or petsmart has teh reef master kits for like 30 bucks, id do a water change to get those down, i never let mine get above 5

    I guess you could say fowlr, but I recently got a green bubble tip anemone. So a starting reef tank?
