    Yea, my freshwater tank was 100+ before I quickly started doing water changes. So I changed 25%, 3 days in a row. I put a nitrate reducing pebble bag inside the filter, I also added a carbon cartridge filter.

    You want to make sure that your filter allows for bacteria to grow on it. Do you recently change your filter pad?
