    The sad thing Luna...is I understood that. Wow. I remember more from Spanish II than I thought. I'm just plain awesome, that's how. :D

    Just wandering. Mine is 3 months old and i've had 0 nitrates until now. They're 5-10 after 15% water change and 20 after a week. I've been cutting down on feedings. I don't have a refugium, I have a big ball of chaeto in a container in the tank(probably doesn't do that much). Might build an algae scrubber soon or build some partitions into my sump for a refugium.

    wow that 5100k bulb is no joke....great way to control nitrates and grow copepods...nice thread

    you could probably throw an emerald crab in there and let it take care of the extra growth.

    That is a good article, Thanks. I have had similar results.

    My reflector has a few hole punched through it to let heat escape. I also have a fan blowing on my refugium 24/7. Heat has never been an issue for me.

    I actually have similar bulbs to that in my high Hat Lights in my kitchen. I will look to see their color temp. For now, I will leave it alone...until no one wants my cheato ant more. ;D

    this is a neat trick...i actually still have nitrate trouble with my fuge hooked to my DT...i think i need to start pruning back the chaeto a little more...should i do the same with the caulerpa?
