Nitrates questions

    Ok i dont have any cheato but i am useing chemi pure and purigen but i am switching the triggers out anyways i was wondering once they are out if the algae and nitrates will go away over time by just letting the tank sit with just live rock

    Pretty steep nitrates. If you leave the tank without fish, they wont go away on their own unless you have something in your tank that is consuming them like a macro algae. Generally the size of your water change determines how much nitrates you will remove. 25% WC will remove roughly 25% of your nitrates.

    Without running a skimmer and the way your water is looking now, you will probably benefit from doing weekly water changes.

    Just also try to watch your feeding and make sure you are trying to only feed what your fish consume.

    One power head hydor 1200 i think and just filter pad in the back chamber of the biocube

    i'm not sure, not a biocube guy, but ya may want more flow! But I ditto what Inertiatic just said!

    Also, why just a filter pad? could be a nitrate factory right there!
