using this tank for a qt where fish have ich

I did a large water change and added prime, will the fish be alright or should I be doing something else.

Should I have added a larger amount of prime, it says you can use up to 5 times. tank temp is 82, ammonia is .25 and nitrate are .25 nitrates are almost 1.0.

what kind of filtration you have? how long the qt was set up? how many fish and what kind in there? what is the tank size? what is the nitrite lvl? i'm not familiar with the prime term if you mean the thing that claims to break down a new tank immediately, i don't trust it.

This is my display tank. been set up over 6 months. 220 gallon. Removed all of the inverts I could, I am assuming this is die off of what I could not find

prime is suppose to make nitrates ammonia nitrites non toxic.

I have been doing hyposalinity for ich over the last 2 days

so you still have the rocks and sand in there? i did the same thing for my tank, i struggled 3 weeks with ammonia level not going below 5. i gave up and increased salinity again. i had only 1 fish with ich signs.
what you have is most probably from die off. and with low salinity your biological filter will not work as supposed to. so you have to keep up with your water changes, i was doing 2w/c per day 10% each sometimes more. good luck
