No base or liverock

Also, is there much benefit to running double over flow skimmer into one sump(fuge) ?
Will it screw things up, maybe one or the other become unbalanced?

technically yes, I didnt. It may be hard to get a good mix with the salt. Plus if you have sand in already you will kick up alot of it

 

I was just having a flashback. The reason I have a 50/50 mix of sand and gravel is from an old way of setting up a system. It was called Mesacosm or something like that.
The LFS had me do a layer of fine sand on the bottom and then add a screen and put crushed coral on top! But over time the screen got moved around and I think I had a snowflake eel that was chewing on it.
So everything got mixed up at some point
Anyone remember that system?

 

CuC is Clean up Crew. Snails and so forth. Get them here once your ammonia/nitrites 0 and your nitrates reach ~20 on the drop

I have 2 overflow skimmer boxes and I want to know pros and cons of running two into one sump vs one into the sump. Im thinking two would be better for circulation, but worried about balance problems.
