    Just noticed this today and on multiple rocks. This is a recently cycled tank (my 135) which had uncurred live rock, live sand (the bagged stuff), added fish from my 30 couple few ago and then cuc a couple weeks after. Basically a fowler tank but to have a couple leathers, and a huge stunner chalice from my old tank.

    I can scrape them off with finger nail. They are not a moving living organism but not calcium either. Almost like a soft cover

    Totally at a loss on what it is

    It's not likely they'll hatch, however. They're typically laid in tide pools which are brackish.

    that fine if they do not hatch.. just wanted to make sure it was nothing bad
