    IME coralline grows faster under 6500k cfl's in my fuge than it does under the intense lighting in my DT.

    A combination of 3x250watt Halides and increased use of 1/2hp chiller has almost doubled my electricity bill within the last 4 months. I used to pay TTD900.00 and now I'm paying TTD1700.00 bi-monthly.
    I'd switch over to T5HO in a heart beat.
    Halides really add a nice shimmer in your tank but other than that, it serves no purpose if you don't have high light demanding corals.

    You are correct sir...we pay 8.3 per kw, and I run them 5.5hrs
