But a UPS doesn't run out of gas and automatically turns on if the power goes out when you are not home. It can also be connected so it just runs one device ( like a return pump ) and can last for days depending on the load.

Bummer Dave i just got home last night from a trip to the bay area. i hope you dont lose anymore critters or coral!

 

Frogspawn and xenia are the only 2 corals I am worried about. Xenia is the worst off of the 2.

I know it is a bummer and I almost told myself to hell with it a couple of time when power was out.
