No fan for the Maxspect R420R

    Ok something really weird i'm installing my new Maxspect R420R Lighting system , i have four and none of them have their fan working, is this normal any thoughts or am i just very very unlucky.........

    I thought the fans on the maxspect turned on automatically as the fixture heated up? run the for a while and see what happens

    This, they turn on when needed to save energy and lower noise

    Ok i got the explanation from YouTube, Marine Depot; they start only when needed. The wing shape design is suppose to dissipate most of the heat except when its on 100% then it uses the 2 fans when ever its too hot. I knew i couldn't be that unlucky, but man. I had 2 set back today........

    I have the same light. My fans have never turned on, but light seems to work great.

    I have recently purchased the 160w version too and even at 100% my fans don't turn on. Then again, the heatsink is only warm to the touch right behind the led pucks so I guess its not as hot.

    So far I really like the look of the light. Good luck with yours.
