No More Death at Petco!!!!!!!!

Its a time for joy, the animal activist and PITA, finally got petco to stop selling saltwater fish, birds and in some stores reptiles. I am so happy that I won't see dead anemones or floating fish or tanks filled of algea. I went to my local store and seen the tanks empty and all the birds gone. I asked a friend and she said they are no longer allowed to sell them. I can sleep better, it was so sad going in there and seeing the poor hermit staring at you through the glass with that look of help. I am so happy, all the horror is over....where is the champign!!!

 

sweet i will have to check my local Petco,i wrote an e-mail to the people at petco a month or so ago,The one near my house is unreal.They had and angel in the tanks that had ick and fin rot so bad it couldnt swim.Its kinda sad.JOE

from what I can tell, it's only large birds.

 

not sure if its nationwide couldn't find any info on the net, it may only be certain stores. I am not sure if petco is a chain or franchise.

 

my petco is still full. and they are actually all in awesome condition most of the time.

 

my local petco does clean there tanks every week. but there lighting does suck for holding corals and such over time. I go in on their shipping days, and got a royal gamma today before it even hit there tanks.. right out of the box/cooler.. he's looking good..

 

I think that Petco stopped selling large birds a couple years back. After checking around and seeing zero announcements I am tempted to call shenanigans with out some sort of proof.
