A couple weeks ago I post this thread http://www.3reef.com/forums/tropical-fish/foxface-ring-55204.html about myfoxface that had a circle, or ring on him. He then got another ring below the first one. Now there is another, on the other side of him near his face (where the white and black meet the yellow at the top). It is very hard to get a good pic of this fish since he hardly ever quits moving!

Doe anyone have a clue what this could be!?!?!? I do not have anything in the tank that has a perfect circle that size that could injure him. I have two koralia powerheads and a modded maxijet 1200, none have that shape on them.

Is this some sort of disease or something?! HELP!!!

Im sure you may know of this site but i figure to post it anyway if helps. Fish Skin Disorders
I've skimmed through it and nothing really looks concrete in saying what that is since it looks to me like a perfect circle like that of a powerhead. Does he sleep by one of the power heads at night?hopefully its not a disease of any kind. Good luck to you !

Rabbits get discolored and change apperance depending on the time of day. My rabbit has a circle right in the same spot that I can see better when he first wakes up...as he is grey and blotchy looking. Then as he colors back up it goes away.

My foxface had the same thing but in his tail area....

I dont think it is anything to worry about...probalby his normal coloration

I had a chromie that had a spot like that...I thought it had been grabbed by a crab...He was missing scales in and around that area also though...spot healed...fish lived.
    Looks like a bruise.?

He sleeps next to the Koralia, however Koralia's don't have any perfect circle intakes, let alone any perfect circles except for the output of the water, which is much larger.

My foxface does have different areas that appear during the day, this is different, the other circles on the other side are still there and have only faded to a certain extent and they are visible to the same degree all day.

I've looked thru fish diseases and haven't found anything there either.

He swims around like a maniac and eats like an animal so maybe I shouldn't be concerned? I'm thinking though at some point he will be totally covered in circles and look very weird considering it's been three weeks and I can still see each of them!!!
