    Thanks for all the tips.
Power came back on late last night, tank was at 67 degrees and my newly added powder blue didnt make it. Other fish seem ok for now but corals are extremely stressed. Ill have to wait it out and see what makes it. Im bummed.
Thanks for all the advice and ill have to look into a generator for future power outages.

Sorry for your loss. You can also buy a cheap inverter that plugs into your car cigarette lighter that can run at least one power head and a heater. Good to have one on emergency stand by if you dont have a generator. They are usually around $100 at wall mart.

Very sorry to hear about the tang and I hope that it's limited to just that. Not sure, but I would bring the temp up fairly slow or you might shock them just as much getting things back to normal.

A battery backup or inverter won't work for heaters as they'll pull too much wattage. You'll need a generator.

Unfortunately my tundra doesnt have a outlet in it. I think my best bet it to get a generator for future outages.
Hopefully everything pulls through. The temp was slowly raising last night, I have 2 heaters and it takes a while to heat up all my water so it was going slow..which is a good thing.

electric heaters CAN be run by a power inverter. look at their wattage. Get a 1000 watt one and you can run a single heater on it plus pump or air stone. I too have a tundra and have used inverters before.

Oh I know it would run a inverter. Just saying my truck doesnt have a physical plug like some cars/trucks have now.

So if you can run a inverter and it can run a heater technically you would have to run your truck all day? Or just run the truck every so often?
