well, they claim it's due to having to get livestock in-land, hell if I know, most of the LFS's here are little hole in the wall 1500sq foot places so they pretty much have to gouge to stay afloat I guess

I tend to buy fish locally and not much else, even some of the basics are stupidly priced

Skunk shimp here locally is 40-45 bucks
Emerald Crabs are 15-20

stuff like that, it's pretty ridiculous

I go to houston at least twice a year and tend to hit up the LFS's there and bring back livestock with me, Buying Live rock at 3.49/lbs and driving back with it beats the hell out of 12-15/lbs for Fiji here locally

They are liars and thieves! I'm more inland than you and $50 for a Condy would never fly. They are $7-$12 around here.

 

There may be less competition where he is and more where you are?

 

Sorry for the long response time, I just now saw this. It took about 2 hours or so. I would just snap a picture every 5 or 10 minutes.

And, it just split again the other day so I removed 3 of the 4 BTAs from my display last night. My clowns were NOT happy with me.

 

I got my condy for $5.39.

That is really cool!!! K+1 for sure... This is awesome that you were able to watch this.. I hope someday me and my husband will be able to experience something like this.. Our tank is only 6months old.. We only have fish, LR, two corals, and lot of bottom critters.. We are slowly building it up.. Thanks for sharing your pics...!!
