I also smoke outside and stick to natural, environmentaly sound cleaners. But, we do burn an occasional lead-free candle from time to time. Do you think that if I took so smoking cigars while sitting on top of the sump, it might kill the cyanobacteria that is currently DRIVING ME FREAKING INSANE?

    I've [smiley=argue.gif] with it, I've [smiley=drool.gif] on it, given it the [smiley=finger.gif]. I've tried a [smiley=hammer.gif], [smiley=uzi.gif] at it, beat it with a [smiley=whip.gif], but it just won't [smiley=skull.gif]!!! Maybe I can find a [smiley=smurf.gif] and [smiley=pimp2.gif] it out as something useful.

If you can't guess, I'm a bit [smiley=annoyed.gif] with the crud and won't stop until I either [smiley=bomb.gif] the entire tank or find another way to claim [smiley=victory.gif]

Sorry, what were we smoking again? [smiley=furious3.gif]

Cyanobacteria is one of the best exporters of Nitrates and to a lesser extent phosphates. It only exists when there is enough of that stuff. It is your friend honest, does a way better job than macro algea. If you siphon it out you export tons of the suff you don't want getting into your sand bed!

Yeah, I know. It's just a bit unsightly and starting to make it's way up the rocks. I've been removing it from the sand bed and my fuge the best I can. Too bad coral doesn't grow as quick!

This is one of the more bizarre threads I've read on the site in a while. [smiley=LolLolLolLol.gif]

Maybe we should invent carbon filters for cigarettes. Not really for us. But for our fish. See where I am going with this? ;) [smiley=biglaugh.gif]

I heard that you once used your sump as a water bong :)

Huh? Water bong? What's that? I have no idea what you're talking about. Yup, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. ;D
