ya, I think they are candy cane or trumpets, but I think the 2 that seem white are not doing well, I think you are looking at part of their skeleton (or what ever it's really called), but all the other ones seem really nice so I would not worry about the 2, maybe just try moving them and see what happens.

The white things are dead trumpet heads. They could have been the source of the discharge. The discharge may also be mucus used to clear off/protect the coral. Increasing your flow in the area will help prevent that.

they probably are gone, but if there is any flesh left, and I mean any, they might come back if you get them in the right spot. I've had a few that got tossed behind a rock because I though they where totally dead, only to find them happy as can be a few months latter.

Hey, bud. I think those may be vermetid snails. I'm currently trying to get rid of them since they're a real PITA.

I modified this picture for you to check something: See if the two little spots that I circled in the rock look like small purple mounds, made of round tubular body that has a stick coming out or starting to come out from the center or sides.

    TY Magnus :

As far as vermetid snails? they don't look like that to me however i double checked after you mentioned it to me and dead trumpet head pictures on the net seem to look alot more like what they are as far as i can tell.

Thanks again brother for the heads up though.

My bad, man. I thought you knew what the white things were. It looked to me as if the spider web was all focused from one point of the rock, and nearby were the 2 purple dots I thought to be Vermetid. I hate those suckers!

You should remove the dead coral to avoid getting the extra chemicals and nitrates in your water column.
