Noise Ordinance !!!

I am trying to choose between a cpr backpack and remora skimmer,noise is a factor as I have two tanks in my kind of small living room.Any feedback from people with personal experience with these would be much appreciated. Thanks,Dave

 

I have the cpr bak pak and love it. I have had it for 2 days and picking up a tone of skimate

 

Thanks,Ive read a lot of good things about the BAK PAK and also the REMORA,but what I really was wondering is,which one is quieter or is either of them unusually loud.

 

I have an Remora. It is very quiet. My 2" fan on my fuge light is actually louder, and it is in the cabinet.

FWIW if quality is a factor I'd go Remora

 

OKay i actually did a test of both skimmers, i had both skimmers going for about a year and did a two week test to see which one was better, crp bak pak 2r with mj1200 and remora with mj1200, first two days where close after that the remora killed the crp. Both great skimmers HoB wise but remora gets the edge

 

OMG Phil...thx for letting me buy my Bak Pak...LOL...nah, I'm very happy with mine...not too loud, and it's only been running a cpl weeks and pulling nasty nasties out!

 

hahah didnt say it was bad.....jerk LOL and the remoras arent really availble here locally so its better to buy local in case u have a prob jwil lol i did u favor bc now if it breaks u can have a business to deal with not some one in hong kong who doesnt speak english lol ps YOUR WELCOME
