Noisy Red Sea Max 130D Skimmer

Hey was wondering if anyone could help me....
I've had a Red Sea Max 130D set up for a month now and have been having troubles with the skimmer making a loud hum when it is in the back of the tank. I have placed aquarium wool around the skimmer pump but it doesn't help silence this loud obnoxious hum. Any suggestions to help silence the skimmer pump???

 

does it sit down on suction cups or anything between the bottom glass and the pump? normally the vibration is the pump on the glass with nothing in between them

 

no it isnt on suction cups. the outlet nozzle of the pump screws into the skimmer body. I put aquarium wool around the skimmer pump to help the vibrations but there is still this loud hum... it still skims perfectely fine though... but unsure of why it gives off a loud hum as it doesnt do this when placed in a bucket to run.

Hopefully this website will help. ALl the filters and skimmer are built into the back of the tank. As I stated I've put aquarium wool around it but it doesnt seem to help this annoying loud hum.
